Always have a Backup!
Backup will help you restoring your database in case your current database got damaged/corrupted.
Following Steps will show you how to Restore your wordpress database, using wordpress backup.
Restore your database backup requires your “database backup” & “access to your hosting Control panel”.
Restore WordPress Database Using phpMyAdmin
1. Login to your Control panel.
2. Click on PHP MYAdmin.
3. On the Top left corner, you will find names of database, Select your WordPress Database. As shown in fig above
4. Now you need to delete all your previously Installed database files.
5. You will find a list of Tables in the database (As shown in figure), You have to delete these all.
6. Click on “Check All” to select all the tables.
7. Select the “DROP” option to delete all the tables permanently.
8. You will get prompted to confirm the Drop action. Choose Yes to Complete. As shown below.
When delete will complete,you will get message as “YOUR SQL QUERY HAS BEEN EXECUTED SUCCESSFULLY”. (As shown below)
* Now your wordpress database is empty & ready for uploading your database backup file.
9. As Shown below Click on “IMPORT” to upload your WordPress Database Backup.
10. Click BROWSE to locate your Backup zip file on your PC. (As shown below)
11. Click GO & wait for upload process to finish.
After successful database restoration you will get some message, as shown below.
You are done, your WordPress Database is Restored & you now are ready to login to your WordPress Dashboard.
